My first flight
It's Sunday 2nd of November 2003 and I'm taking my first flight. I'm very excited and so are my fellow passengers. They all clap when we take off from Geneva airport and again when we land in Lugano. Probably a Pavlovian reaction! This is the inaugural flight of our company, Flybaboo.
It all started on 11th of July 2003 when Swiss Air Lines announced they were going to abandon the Geneva-Lugano route at the end of October. Since that day, my timetable has changed drastically. Julian started to wake me up at 6 am, then at 5 am, and sometimes even earlier. My walks in the park at those hours were pretty boring as there was no one for me to play with and my love life has suffered a lot.
Things have definitely changed since that first flight. I have met a lot of exciting people at the different airports we fly to and my friends at the office grew in number as more and more people joined the Flybaboo family. After Lugano, Venice was added to our network , and soon after that, Saint Tropez , Valencia, Florence, Ibiza. We also had Prague and Nice following shortly, and just recently Olbia. We now have 2 aircraft flying to 15 destinations. I have also been in photoshoots and even took my friend Sammy along with me. It is really good to be a well-loved star!
Anyway, on this first flight from Geneva to Lugano, everything seemed just right. A breathtaking sky, a smile on everyone's face and a beautiful plane, and a view on the majestic Alps. This route is probably one of the most beautiful flights in the world.
