NOM : Dubost
PRÉNOM : Claire

FONCTION : Flight Ops Engineer (Ingénieur Bureau d’Etudes)
FORMATION : Ienac (Ingénieur de l’Ecole nationale de l’aviation civile à Toulouse, France)
I’m part of the Research team that edits operation manuals which define the airline’s policies on in-flight and
ground procedures and air crew training. We also study the best flight paths to take and optimise fuel consumption as well as perfecting various computerised tools (statistics, flight follow-up, etc.).
One of the most interesting aspects of working on the Research team is that each task invariably involves direct contact with various company employees – pilots and navigational crews, ground personnel, agents in the control tower (OCC)… and naturally almost daily contact with the Swiss authorities (Office Fédéral de l’Aviation Civile). Reconciling necessary regulated deadlines with the implementation of new procedures and the company’s urgent operational demands is one of the major challenges in my job.
Ever since Baboo began its policy of giving kids Barbababoo on flights, we have had fun finding new Baboo-inspired names for team members and various objects. Last December’s Christmas tree was decorated with “Babooballs”.
A fun and original name for an equally surprising airline.
